QuantMig project book out now!
We are delighted to announce that the QuantMig book “From Uncertainty to Policy: A Guide to Migration Scenarios”, edited by Jakub Bijak, and summarising the key findings and recommendations from the project, has now been published by Edward Elgar. The online version (open access) is now available on the publisher's website and on Google Play.
The book has already received critical acclaim from esteemed migration scholars.
Professor Steven Vertovec, Director of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity, Germany, called it "[a]n indispensable resource for crafting informed views onto possible migration futures." Professor James Raymer from the Australian National University (ANU) stated that: "Migration is not easy to predict but this excellent book covers all the issues [needed] to do the difficult job."
On 18 December 2024 we have held a virtual launch of the book, hosted by Population Europe, featuring QuantMig team members and a panel of distinguished guests. Further informations is available on the Population Europe website, and a full recording of the launch event can be watched on Population Europe's YouTube channel.
